Olympics 2012 : Djokovic vs Roddick Free Live Streaming

In a second round match of tennis in the London Olympics 2012 Serbian Novak Djokovic and American Andy Roddick will face each other for their third round berth.

World No 2 Djokovic had  a tough three set match in the first round against Fabio, while Roddick sailed rather easily in the All England tennis club. Djokovic lost his doubles fixture yesterday, and during his Facebook message said:

"Long day today. Unfortunately, Viktor and I lost our match. We played our best, but the guys were just better than us. The good thing is that Janko and Ziki won, so we are still in the race for the medal in the doubles. Both Ana and Janko won their singles matches, and tomorrow is my turn to defend the national colors :) I play 3rd match on Centre court, and luckily for me this time there will be no rain delays. Wish me luck!"
Let's see who guns down whom, seemingly Roddick has not been able to flash to the highest level in recent times, but he did win few small tournaments before coming to Olympics.

The match will start at 1600 GMT live from the Centre Court .

Rafeal Nadal not to play in London Olympics

In a very unfortunate circumstances, the reigning Olympic Gold Medallist in Tennis Men's Singles Rafeal Nadal, will not be competing for this year's Olympics to be held in London. This decision came due to his existing tendinitis in his knee.

Beijing Games Gold Medallist who was selected as the flag bearer for the Spanish Olympic squad, will now stay back at home. Rafeal Nadal won the Beijing 2008 Games in the Men's Singles category defeating Fernando Gonzales.
I am not in [a] condition to compete in the London Olympics and therefore will not travel as planned with the Spanish delegation to take part in the games, said Nadal.
I have to think about my companions, I can't be selfish and I have to think of what's best for Spanish sport… and give fellow sportsmen with better preparation the chance to compete. I tried to hurry my preparations and training to the very last minute, but it was not to be."
It is one of the saddest days of my career. You can imagine how difficult it was to take this decision.

Rafeal Nadal has been suffering from the condition since Wimbledon, which eventually find his way out in a stunning loss against  World No 100 Lukas Rosol in five sets. This is eased up the competition for other competitors and Roger Federer will eye for his first Olympics Gold Medal in Single's category.

Roger Federer becomes World No 1 with record Wimbledon victory

Federer with his trophy
Things could not have turned any better for the previous six time Wimbledon title winner, who graced the Centre court with his majestic touch, which got better of a brave British competitor who threw his heart throughout. After a tough initial set, Roger Federer came out to win his seventh record tying title by beating Andy Murray 4-6,7-5,6-3,6-4. With this he will now assume World No 1 spot, dethroning Novak Djokovic to 2nd place.
Pippa and Catherine Middleton watching the Final

With this win he will by next week take over the record of being at World No 1 for most number of weeks, which had been held by Pete Sampras for 286 weeks. On the other hand Andy Murray by advancing into the Finals became the first after Austin Bunny in 1938 to have qualified to this prestigious Final. Also he was taking on a shot for the title last time achieved by Fred Perry in 1936.

First set started off pretty tough with Murray playing some amazing tennis, with his great serves, and rallying; finally breaking Federer at 5-4. Second set was majorly dictated by Murray, but it was Federer who found a break opportunity and grabbed it with pleasure with an amazing shot. Third was also an evenly played set, both sides playing some amazing tennis, until In a dramatic sixth game, which lasted 20 minutes and went to 10 deuces, Murray took three tumbles to the ground, surrendered a 40-0 lead and Federer broke on a sixth break point for a 4-2 lead.Soon after Federer had won the third set 6-3.
Fourth and Final with Federer oozing with sheer confidence, was moving around the Centre court in the most majestic way he could. Surely, it was matter of moments, when the King of Tennis had to break down in utter disbelief and assuming the Crown he has worn for many many with pride and dignity.

As far as Andy Murray concerned, he tried his awesome but on a day there was no match to the majestic Federer. He burst into emotions in the Prize Distribution, and thanked his family, supporters clinging on to him with lots of support throughout.

I'm going to try and not look at him [Federer] otherwise I'll start crying again but everyone in that corner over there that's supported me. This tournament is always tough and you did a great job so thank you.

Last of all [thanks] to you guys. Everybody always talks about the pressure of playing at Wimbledon, how tough it is but it's not the people watching [ that makes it tough] – they make it so much easier to play. The Support's been incredible, so thank you.

Centre Court for Federer but not for Djokovic, Why?

Today an important quarter final clash will be played for men's singles. Where big shots like World Number 1  and defending champion  Djokovic,  Federer, British tennis start  Murray,  Ferrer, and Tsonga will put their hands on line for the Semi-Final berth.

Amazingly, Roger Federer  has been given his shot at the Centre Court, whereas Novak Djokovic is to face his challenger at the Court No1. Similarly Murray will face Ferrer at Centre Court as well.

The point here is why the World Number 1, and the defending champion Novak Djokovic slot has been adjusted in Court No1, but not in the Centre Court. It is likely to favour Federer who is looking for his record levelling seventh Wimbledon title, and since now a days the weather there has also been outcast, and been raining in recent times. In order to avoid interruptions, he might have been place in precedence to Djokovic.

Let's see, though Federer has a rather easier opponent and is likely to win for his Semi's berth. But Andy Murray will face tough time with David Ferrer who has been very relentless throughout the tournament.
