Baines breaks City's heart before Christmas

Baines and Cahill double blow  within 20 minutes in to the game sealed Man City's chance to top Premier League table at Christmas since 1929, making Everton look good by 2-1 victory. Carlos Tevez much hyped return to Manchester City had failed to provide enough impact in order to seal important victory.Tevez was pulled just before kickoff after he had denied transfer request and given the captain arm band back by Roberto Mancini.Despite all remained as a ghost figure throughout the game.If he had scored then they had yet to lose a league game with him scoring. It must be noted that Everton came to league with seven loses, but banked succesfully on their three victories at Manchester Stadium.
City pulled one back when Yaya Toure's shot deflected in off Phil Jagielka,at 72nd minute and Kolo Toure was red carded late on.But by then it was quite late, and City's chances faded off.Cahill on the other had a terrific    run on this ground and has till date scored two goals in the past two seasons, with this he was able to enhance his go with another goal making a 2-0 lead by the 19th minute.
Anichebe, playing as a lone striker in his third game of the season     , flicked Baines's pass into the path of Seamus Coleman before Cahill promptly headed the Irishman's cross beyond Joe Hart.City increased the pressure and peppered the Everton goal with shots for a short spell after the half hour, but the hard efforts somehow kept out from David Silva, Vincent Kompany and Mario Balotelli to convert a goal.
City tried their best to to find suitable gaps and pushed the Everton defenders but Kolarov was about to make a free kick in the chance but was narrowly deflected wide. The home team were in advantage after the bookings of Anchiebe but failed to hold on to the opportunity.Balotelli who had made plenty of chace, missed and failed and slipped into the box. But seconds later Yaya Youre converted a deflected host off Jageika.Moyes called  in Russian midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and striker Louis Sahaon again to preserve Everton's lead. They were able to successfull deflect Balotelli and decent shot from Tevez, hence won at the end.
