Following is the list of 10 shortest Atheletes and sportsmen ever to play or be associated with sports.


10. Mugsy Bogues ,160 cm (5ft 3in) 


Mugsy Bogues was  born on January 9, 1965, Baltimore, Maryland. Bogues  is a retired American professional basketball player and former head coach of the now-defunct Charlotte Sting of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). He is regarded as the shortest player ever to play in the NBA.

9. Shannon Bobbit  157 cm( 5 Ft 2 in)


 Shannon Denise Bobbitt is an American professional basketball player, who is currently a free agent in the WNBA.  She is currently the shortest WNBA basketball player.


8.Frederick Walden 157 cm (5 Ft 2 In)



Frederick Walden is the shortest player in England national football team history.Frederick Ingram "Fanny" Walden (1 March 1888 – 3 May 1949) was an English professional footballer who played for Northampton Town, Tottenham Hotspur and at international level for England during the 1910s and 1920s. He also played cricket for Northamptonshire and was an English cricket umpire.

Julie Krone  born on July , 24 1963 at Benton Harbour,Michigan is a retired American jockey.Krone is America's shortest jockey ever. In 1993, she became the first female jockey to win a Triple Crown race when she captured the Belmont Stakes aboard Colonial Affair. In 2000 she became the first woman inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.

Dylan Post was born on May 29,1986 is the world's smallest wrestler. He was known in WWE as Hornswoggle and formerly Little Bastard In WWE, he was the last Cruiserweight Champion before the belt was deactivate.

Lionel Giroux (1935 - December 4, 1995) was a Canadian wrestler, who is best known by his ring name Little Beaver. His most famous appearance was in a six-man match at Wrestle Mania III for the and World Wrestling Federation.

4.Bai Chunyue 124.4cm ( 4 ft 1 In).



Bai Chunyue is  known as the shortest Gymnast ever . Bai Chunyue of China  won an individual title in the women's gymnastics as she triumphed in the uneven bars with a score of 9.375 points. 




 3 Eddie Gaedel,  109 cm( 3 ft 7 in) 


Eddie Gaedel  was the shortest person to play in Major League Baseball. Edward Carl "Eddie" Gaedel (June 8, 1925 - June 18, 1961) was  born in Chicago, Illinois, He made a single plate appearance and was walked with four consecutive balls before being replaced by a pinch runner at first base. His jersey, bearing the uniform number "⅛", is displayed in the Baseball hall of fame.

2.Henry Franklyn 106 cm  ( 3ft 6in)


Henry Franklyn hailed from Canada was a  goaltender in Ice Hockey. He by his figure is famous in ice hockey and is the shortest to play in ice hockey history, Henry Franklyn is also the second shortest athlete of all time.

1.Romeo Dev , 84 cm ( 2ft 9in)




Aditya Romeo Dev is the world's 'Shortest Bodybuilder' and also the 'Shortest athlete of all time'. He was born in 1988 at Phagwara, India. Aditya Dev dwarfism made famous by being reported in the UK press in February 2008. Romeo can shoulder press custom made 1.5 kg dumbbells, a notable feat given his 9 kg (20 lbs.) body weight and 84 cm (2' 9") stature.
