Arsenal V Birmingham City - Gunners beat Birmingham to secure 3-0 victory

In the race of being the best in the League , Arsenal made sure that they are a tough, ruthless competitor running in the race.In the process they started 2011  on a high note, as  Arsenal  beat Birmingham 3-0 in an all dominant Gunners' show.Van Persie and Nasri were the main architects of the demolition process, whereas Birmingham signed  their own death warrant by own goal made by Johnson. This makes them only two points behind leaders United and City.

The Gunners opened their account pretty quick into the first half , when Robin van Persie fully capitalised on a deflected free kick. He would have later made a double blow all by him self until Roger Johnson un-done his move. Arsenal proved to be venomous against Birmingham today, whereas on other days Birmingham City had made even good sides look miserable. On Tuesday  they were able to secure draw against Manchester United , and also beat Chelsea in November proving their grit , but were unable to repeat today.

Birmingham totally could not find their touch in the game and kept on making blunders. It started when Johnson  he lunged in on Fabregas and although the they were able to secure the ball but, the excessive force proven to turn into a yellow card booking. Then the back-pass by Foster picked up and proving to be costly, as Van Persie converted successfully.Birmingham also had their part of their chance, when Sebastian Larsson stepped up and curled a shot over the wall from 25 yards but Lukasz Fabianski nullified his atttempt. But after that Arsenal kept firm grip on the team , as they continously  kept attacking on Birmingham,Nasri who earlier in the second half was denied the chance, re-deemed him self a minute later when he was able to swap passes with Fabregas, ultimately converted his 13th goal of the season.

Later in the 67th minute into play Nasri again looked attacking and provided Fabregas with a beautiful pass, though it was saved by Foster, but it rebounded off Scott Dan and Johnson back into net making their 3-0 lead. The things at this time could not look any worse. After this victory Wenger and the boy would be completely on the high , and feeling all the confidence as they would be facing Manchester City on Wednesday.
