ICC World Twenty20 2012 Schedule



ICC World Twenty20 2012 Groups, Schedule, Match Timings and Venues: The  ICC World Twenty20 2012 will be the 4th edition of the tournament which will be held in Sri Lanka from September 18th to October 07,  2012. The previous T20 World Cup winners are: India(2007), Pakistan(2009), and England(2010).




ICC World Twenty20 2012 Groups:

Group A: England(A1), India(A2), Afghanistan.


Group B: Australia(B1), West Indies(B2), Ireland.


Group C: Sri Lanka(C1), South Africa(C2), Zimbabwe.


Group D: Pakistan(D1), New Zealand(D2), Bangladesh.



* Top two teams from each  group will qualify for the Super Eight.

Super Eight (S8) Groups:


Group 1: A1, B2, C1, D2


Group 2: A2, B1, C2, D1

Pallekele International Cricket Stadium


Pallekele International Cricket Stadium is newest in the city Kandy. It is renamed after Sri Lanka's legend spinner Muttiah Muralitharan as Muttiah Muralitharan International Cricket Stadium. The stadium was declared opened on Novemver 27, 2009. The stadium has a seating capacity of 35000.

R. Premadasa Stadium


R. Premadasa Stadium is a Cricket stadium located in Maligawatta, Colombo,Sri Lanka. Before June,1994 it was known as Khettarama Cricket stadium. It was built in 1986 and has a seating capacity of 35,000.


Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium


Mahinda Rajapaksa Internatinal Cricket Stadium is a new cricket stadium built for the 2011 cricket world cup. It is located in Hambantota, Sri Lanka. Its construction was completed in 2010. It has a seating capacity of 60,000.
